Kay Newbury ( nee Linley ) - June 08

Can any one help me? I know my uncle was a prisoner in Burma by the Japanese for 1 day. He had his kit blown up in a lorry which he and his comrades had to walk round. He was taken ill and sent to hospital after returning to India. He was Fusilier Leonard Linley.

I was told today by my aunt that my Grandfather also served with this regiment. He too was called Leonard Linley but he would have been in the 1st world war. All I have is a piece out of the evening paper about my uncle and would very much like to learn more to put in to the family tree. So please if any one could help I would be very grateful.
