Looking for Irish family - Hartree
I am starting a search for my mother's
family who she lost track of when her parents migrated
to Australia in the early 1900's. Her maiden name
was HARTREE and they resided in the Dublin area I
am lead to believe. Her name was Edith and she married
an Englishman named Stuart Wilson. They had four children
before leaving England and another on arrival in Australia.
Ten years after arriving Edith became gravely ill
and died leaving Stuart to bring up the children alone.
He notified her family in Ireland but never received
a reply. Many years have passed and I would love to
find this family connection for my mother who is now
80 years old. Please help if you can.

Hi my name is Bernadette and I am from Ireland. I have just found my family after
34 years of searching so don't give up! Have you tried the passenger lists
for australia ? There is Joyce house for birth records, if you can find
the marriage record for them you will have an address to start from. There
is also the National archives Bishop Street, Dublin which holds all sorts of
records. They are online, ancestry site have passenger lists might be worth
a look? My search started in Tipperary and as far as South Africa! But I got
there in the end. Her death cert would give you the address they lived at
then so this is another good place to start. If you need any address for Ireland
please contact me as I have most record offices for Ireland. Wishing you Gook
Luck with your search, Bernadette.

Hello
There is a large family of Hartree's living in Western
Australia, some in Darwein and some around Sydney.
If you do an internet search on Ron Hartree and email
him it may help you with your search.
My surname is Hartree and my ancestors were English
born William (1782-1851) and Betty Hartree.
I wish you every success with your search. |
