Thatched Buildings
Did you Know that some Thatchers, Thatch in Straw, less than six inches thick and some thatch in Straw twelve inches thick.
Could it be, that there may be a direct link to premature failures in thatched roofs and their eventual delisting/destruction and this difference in depth?
Could it be that other materials known to the Thatching industry as being more suitable in terms of life span are not welcome to an ever decreasing number of thatched buildings in Northern Ireland, due to a belief that they are not Historically correct?
Could it be that these materials as well as thatching at a depth of twelve inches, would combat premature failures of Thatched roofs, there by ensuring their conservation as well as reassuring New Build Thatched property owners?
This site says one person thinks we have a Hertiage crisis, all right, lets have some proof says you.

Type "delisted" or "thatch delisted" into the key word search engine and see what you get.
Failing that type in the following referance numbers into the HB line,I will keep posting more of these delisted thatched buildings, as the weeks go on,delistings of thatched buildings right up to the year 2002.

To the waters and the wild,
with a fairy,hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand
