The dapper rapper turned soul singer has taken a very unusual route to chart success. Starting out as a hip hop MC 'for real' as Westwood would say, his second album went all proper soul on us - and he found himself at number 1 as a result.
His live show's combination of heartfelt vocals and killer Stax-inspired grooves is just the ticket to start the party in earnest.
