Libraries
 Becky finds some very useful information from her local and college libraries. Libraries can provide a range of reference material as well as books, magazines and periodics. If you need something specific, ask the librarian if the library is able to get hold of it. Libraries may also allow access to information held of databases, statistical information and maps.
 Becky needs to make a note of the following details about any material she uses for her essay:
- Title of book
- Title of article and name of publication, if from a magazine or journal
- Name(s) or the author(s) or editor(s)
- Name of the publisher
- Date of the publication
- Chapter and page numbers, where relevant
Printed material
This includes books, magazines, periodicals and articles. Be focus in what you choose to read further. There won't be time to read everything. You will need to be selective.
Audio / Visual material
It's worth finding out if there are any videos available on the subject you're writing about. Also, check for television or radio programmes that may be relevant.
