Introduction
The Apprenticeships site is aimed both at employers already involved in Apprenticeship schemes, as well as those who might be considering it as an option.
The information in this section offers employers with information how an Apprenticeship scheme has benefitted employers within the Health and Social Care sector. It provides an insight into how the schemes were set up and how successful they've been for the companies who have taken part.
The site also provides access to resources that employers may consider directing their apprentices towards as part of their training. The activities in the Apprentices section can also be used with staff who may be on Apprenticeship schemes, but who may be interested in developing some of their skills.
The Profiles section allows you to watch video clips of students and their employers and gives you an opportunity to hear about their experiences Apprenticehips and how useful it has been for them.
The activities are all centred around real life scenarios, which students or staff can relate to. They allow the opportunity to practise subject specific skills that are required in the workplace. In addition to this, the activities also aim to develop essential Key Skills in communication and number.
The scenarios are set in a Residential Care 91福利社. However the skills that have been targetted could be relevant to any other area within the Health and Social Care sector.
