Born in the city of Leicester in 1943 (now living in Lancashire) I belong to that special generation of ‘War Babies’. My father was in the Army and the experiences of WW2 have influenced my whole life, given me my value system - the way I see things- my chosen career and indirectly affected all the life choices I have made. The article I have written is about my memories of a young childhood in wartime - memories that are still as vivid today as ever.
