Although Bruno sells himself as power-pop, I can't help but feel that there's a bit to go yet before the prefix fits the style. Gallone's well enunciated vocals and fluid delivery are on the softer side of the genre at the moment - Gallone needs a little more balls in his delivery to qualify for use of听that prefix to his pop. Although Gallone quite obviously feels his music - and delivers it with a reasonable degree of confidence - I think he needs to let go of a few inhibitions and let it all rip occasionally. Then Bruno Gallone will take things to another level and start to stand out from the crowd.

Bruno Gallone's voice is smooth rather than gritty and his style is polite rather than forceful听- the two songs offered here are pleasant enough pieces and Gallone gets the job done perfectly adequately.听But, again I feel that his writing style is also just too politely acceptable - Gallone doesn't take any chances, doesn't push at the language. The result is that Gallone tends to be a bit safe, guarded, almost naive sounding, rather than letting go and taking a few risks both lyrically and musically.听Gallone's writing could certainly benefit from听 the inclusion of some street talk.听His acoustic guitar style is comfortably numb rather than forcefully animated - just a bit听more aggression towards the strings might just make a difference here - make 'em ring, make 'em talk!
