The 91福利社 Big Screen in Portsmouth's Guildhall square is hungry for your film and video content to showcase to the thousands of people who pass by every day.

The Portsmouth Big Screen is one of 17 around the country which shows live news and sports events as well as staging fun activities.

We're also after video content created here in the South - from media students, amateur film makers and animators.

It's the job of Portsmouth Big Screen producer Dave Battcock to sift through submissions and schedule all the local content:

"I am already getting piles of DVDs at my door with great pop videos short films and animations. As well as digital art and still images.

"I have already viewed some outstanding material with the promise of lots more to come.

"We are keen to show a wide range of content including material from schools and colleges, universities, amateur film-makers, film-making collectives, animators, community groups and photographers."

Submitting your work

All submissions will be considered on merit, but the screen cannot show commercial advertisements, hard-hitting campaigning content or films that include music and footage which hasn't had the necessary copyright clearance.

We can accept material on mini-DV and DV-cam tape, DVDs and still images in jpeg format - but we cannot screen content built as a Powerpoint presentation.
