Have seen Seth twice at The Big Session (2005 and 2006) and was impressed on both occasions. This guy needs to succeed and perhaps some of his work will encourage others to listen to more "folk" artists who are better than the mainstream.

Seth Lakeman is a truly stunning live performer - passionate and multi talented and playing with a truly incredible band of musicians: his brother Sean, Ben Nicholls and Cormac Byrne. Driving rythms, great vocals, ferocious beats, romantic and tender ballads - Seth and band do it all effortlessly. Seth writes hypnotic, beautiful and powerful music and something tells me I'll still be listening to it and discovering something new there every time twenty or thirty years from now.
