Dreams of greatness have kept Macbeth听 and his wife awake at night. Returning from battle Macbeth meets three strangely enticing sisters, whose prophecies announce him as the future King. But will this prediction come true on its own, or will he have to act in order to get what he most desires?

Macbeth kills the King, Duncan, but his conscience surrounds him with restless nightmares and maddening visions, and the crown on his head becomes a device of torture. Murder follows murder as Macbeth tries to secure his bloody throne, until, abandoned by all his allies, he holds his tyrannical sceptre over a country paralysed by fear.

The European Theatre Group's eerie production will draw you into a world made out of thunder and lightning, crowded by witches, apparitions, murderers and sleepwalkers - in which dreams turn out to be horrifyingly empty and you can experience Shakespeare's poetic language at its most powerful.
