These boots were designed for use at an altitude of above 20,000 ft.With a design developed by SATRA, the worlds leading shoe technology centre, the Assault boot helped the British Everest Expedition be the first to conquer the world's highest peak. The boots were designed for use at an altitude of above 20,000 ft. Without such equipment it may not have been possible for the team to reach the summit. One of the members of the part said 'None of the party suffered from frostbite and this is the first time an Everest expedition has been completely free of this trouble'.
