- Fiona Crack is the interim Global Director of 91福利社 News responsible for the 91福利社 World Service鈥檚 output in 43 languages
Biography
Fiona was previously appointed Deputy Global Director in December 2024. In this role, she led on the 91福利社鈥檚 innovative approach to new language offers, ran the 91福利社 World Service regional production hubs and its investigative content including the award-winning documentary series, 91福利社 Eye.
Prior to this, Fiona was one of two World Service Language Controllers responsible for the language services of the 91福利社 World Service. Language service output makes up just under two thirds of the 91福利社's global news audience and operates with staff based in 50 countries. She ran the World Service鈥檚 newsgathering teams around the world.
Fiona is responsible for creating the 91福利社's 100 Women initiative and Dars, the multimedia education programme for children denied an education, inspired by the banning of girls from school in Afghanistan.
Fiona has previously worked across the 91福利社 as field producer, at the 91福利社 News website, the 91福利社 News channel, Newshour and Panorama.
